AeroStat · BACnet thermostats

Thermostats that speak BACnet natively.

AeroStat configurable wall controllers bring rooftop units, heat pumps, fan coils and air handlers onto the same BACnet trunk as the rest of the building, with up to 15 I/O and optional occupancy, CO₂ and Wi-Fi.

Configurable, not custom

One device, many applications: RTUs with economizers, heat pumps, fan coils and AHUs.

Real I/O at the wall

Up to 5 universal inputs, 3 analog outputs and 7 binary outputs, enough to run the unit directly.

Occupancy & air quality

Radar presence detection and self-calibrating NDIR CO₂ for demand-based ventilation.

Wired or wireless

MS/TP on every model; Wi-Fi models add BACnet/IP where pulling a trunk isn't practical.

FAQ

AeroStat questions, answered.

Do AeroStats need an AeroNode?

No. AeroStat is a standard BACnet MS/TP device (and BACnet/IP on Wi-Fi models), so it works with any BACnet system. On an Aero system, AeroStats sit on an AeroNode trunk and appear in AeroView alongside the rest of the building.

What do the letters in the part number mean?

H = humidity, M = radar occupancy, C = NDIR CO₂, W = Wi-Fi. For example, AST-500-MHCW has humidity, occupancy, CO₂ and Wi-Fi.

What power do they need?

24 VAC or VDC, Class 2. The binary outputs are isolated solid-state relays designed for standard 24 VAC HVAC control circuits; full electrical ratings are in the dealer installation documentation.

Can one model cover several applications?

Yes. AeroStats are configurable: the same hardware can be set up for a rooftop unit, a heat pump or a fan coil, so dealers stock fewer part numbers.
