AeroNode · Supervisory controllers
The supervisory controller you own outright.
AeroNode supervises BACnet and Metasys N2 equipment at the edge: logic, schedules, trends and alarms run locally, and every node is managed from a browser. No point licensing. No annual SMA.
- Quad-core 2.4 GHz

Models
Three form factors. One firmware.
Every AeroNode runs the same firmware and the same AeroView interface. Choose the serial configuration and form factor the job needs.

Serious headroom
A quad-core 2.4 GHz processor with 8 GB of ECC memory runs logic, trending and four field buses without breaking a sweat.
Four trunks, one controller
Four serial channels on every model: isolated RS-485 for MS/TP and N2, or a mix of RS-485 and RS-232. No add-on port modules to buy.
Secure by default
HTTPS out of the box, signed firmware with automatic recovery, login protection, and outbound-only encrypted connections to supervisors.
Nothing to license
No device or point tiers, no license files and no annual SMA. The capacity you need is the capacity you get.
AeroNode 485
Four isolated RS-485 trunks in a fanless DIN-rail controller.
The standard AeroNode for BACnet MS/TP and Metasys N2 buildings. Each isolated RS-485 channel runs its own trunk with a per-channel termination jumper, so one controller can supervise up to four field buses alongside BACnet/IP.

FAQ
AeroNode questions, answered.
Does an AeroNode need a software license?
No. AeroNode firmware has no device or point limits and no license files, and firmware updates are included. There is no annual software maintenance agreement.
What power does it need?
AeroNode runs on 7–36 VDC (24 VDC nominal) through a pluggable screw terminal. In panels that only provide 24 VAC, add a DIN-rail 24 VDC power supply.
Can AeroNode work alongside our existing front end?
Yes. The built-in BACnet server publishes the points you choose as BACnet/IP objects, so an existing Niagara, Metasys or other BACnet workstation can read and command them during a phased migration.
How do firmware updates work?
Install signed firmware releases from the node's settings, on site or remotely through AeroConnect. The node verifies each release before installing it, and automatically restores the previous version if the new one fails to start.
What is the difference between the 485 and the 232?
Only the serial configuration. The AeroNode 485 has four isolated RS-485 channels. The AeroNode 232 has two RS-232 ports (COM1–COM2) and two isolated RS-485 channels (COM3–COM4).
Which protocols can the serial ports run?
The serial ports are driver-agnostic: each protocol is an Aero driver that runs in its own supervised process. BACnet MS/TP and Metasys N2 (N2 Open) ship today. Our goal is to support the open RS-485 and RS-232 protocols found in buildings, with Modbus RTU and RS-232 device drivers next on the roadmap. New drivers arrive as signed firmware updates.
Which options can be added?
Every model can be ordered with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 + Bluetooth, a global 4G LTE Cat-4 modem with GNSS, and an M.2 NVMe SSD for long-term trend storage. Options are factory-installed and tested before shipment.
